"Many of the music fans in Singapore have no trouble attending an EDM dance party one night, a Jazz festival the next, and a beach party like Vibe thereafter," he remarks.
He cites the success of ZoukOut and St Jerome's Laneway Festival as examples of how music fans in Singapore as being "spoilt for choice."
As the project director of Vibe Beach Sports and Music Festival, he shares that Singapore's music scene has potential growth and comments that music fans are sophisticated enough to understand the different experiences each festival brings.
The sports and music festival will begin at 10am at Siloso Beach in Sentosa and start off with beach volleyball and beach soccer matches. Teams from each category will compete for the S$1,500 top prize. To ensure quality, Thomas says he worked out a partnership with the Volleyball Association of Singapore and Pro-Am Beach Soccer from the United States.

The festival, which will end at 3am, will also attempt to break the record of having the largest zumba dance in Singapore, which will be led by French celebrity zumba instructor Alix Pfrunder. Specially flown in for the event, Pfrunder says she discovered zumba six years ago.
"Zumba also highlights global music so it is like travelling around the world through music and dance in a one-hour class," she explains. Asked about the type of music she will incorporate into the workout, she says that besides pop, hip hop and famous Latin hits, she is also including Cuban salsa, Reggaeton and Dancehall.
In Paris, she shares, the best nightclubs were rented as workout studios during 6pm to 10pm. "It really feels like we are at a party."
Throughout the day, regional and local-based deejays like Miles Slater from Hong Kong and Joshua P from KU DE TA will be spinning and the music party at night will be helmed by top deejays like John O'Callaghan, AN21, Solarstone and Super8 & Tab.
